Interested in entering an Image Competition? Already a competitor? Or just want to learn to make your photography stand out? Then this is the program for you.
Entering competition can seem a bit overwhelming. From all the rules, categories, naming, deadlines, uploading, images, ugh. In this program we will break down all of this and make entering competition a fun and interesting thing to do whether it is for your local competitions, state, or international!!
We will go over:
The 12 basic elements to an image
What judges are looking for…both good and bad
The one thing new competitors forget…the mat!
One of the most important things a judge looks for…a story
Rules and rule changes, dates, and all the not so exciting stuff
And more!
This presentation is not just for competition! Everything we go over applies to all images you take on a daily basis. So even if you don’t enter yet, there will be plenty of information on display.
At the end of the presentation we will be having an impromptu image critique. If you would like to have a couple images critiqued, bring them in on a thumbdrive. Please put them at 4000px at 72dpi on the image’s longest side. (These are competition rules). You can contact me atinfo@ppswf.comfor help with this or if you have any questions. These images can be anonymously shown if you wish.
